2005-2006
Here are a few shots of the construction of plan #2020 with modifications for clapboard siding. Project started Sept 2005 and had shed essentially closed in for the winter months. Project finished in May 2006 with clapboard siding and roof shingles. I should mention the foundation was specifically done on concrete pillars instead of cinder blocks to avoid any possible shifting due to the severe winters we have near Montreal. I should also mention the snow photo was taken in mid- October 2005 about three weeks after we started the work. It was a very early freak snowfall of about a foot and the power was out for two days. At that stage the roof trusses were up and the tarps were protecting the inside. That snow melted a few days later and we were able to get the 1/2" ply roof and side panels on before winter really set in by late November/early December. Worked out very well.Winter pictures added 02/19/2007:
Penny, I promised you a few shots of the shed in winter. The snow has been a long time in coming this year as we had an unusually mild January. The big snow finally came Feb. 14 and 15 with the same storm that hit the northeast US. This storm dumped 2 1/2 feet of snow in one shot. The shed still looks great with all the snow. All the best for the new year.
